Swan Lake was fabulous! The performance was given by the real Russian Ballet! It was so amazing. The dancing was gorgeous, and it didn't leave anything to be desired. However, there were probably only three things that bugged me. :/
1. There was no orchestra. No orchestra?! What kind of a show is that?! All of the music was on a CD, and I guess that would have been okay, but during the intense moments when the music was building and building and BUILDING! It all stayed rather quiet =/ It lessened in intensity by a lot, in my opinion. They definitely needed to turn the CD up much louder.
2. Umm, the back of the guys' little outfits were... Distracting...Very tight.. So tight....
3. And lastly, in Swan Lake, the way it is supposed to end is the bad guy ruins all of Odette and Odile's chances to be together, so they commit suicide. That's a really tragic ending and I love it that way. It makes it so that it isn't so typical, you know? But in this performance, they didn't do that part. Instead, they killed Van Rothbart and they were together in the end. BLECK! Who wants that? I wanted the suicide ending, ha.
But these are the only things that bugged me. Aside from these things, it was fabulous and I really did love it and I had a fabulous time. :)
This post totally contradicts itself. haha
