  I thought I'd share the songs I'm killing myself over right now.

Nocturne in E flat - Chopin
Difficulty: medium
My personal rating: I <3 this song =)

Sonata Facile (k545) - Mozart
Difficulty: The song is pretty easy, but it took me forever to get the trills timed right. Only through much agony and anger did I overcome. So maybe I'll give this one a medium rating.

My personal rating: This one is fun to play. All the scale runs and sforzandos. It's a good time :P

Prelude in C Major - Bach
Difficulty: Easier than Paris Hilton (ha, I make myself giggle)

My personal rating: This song is annoying, and I hate playing it.

Arabesque - Debussy
Difficulty: It's up there. Not the first page or the middle section or anything like that, but when the triplets are on the left hand and the right hand is doing the eighth notes, that's pretty tricky. But luckily that only happens in two very short sections.

My personal rating: If I hear it too much, it gets annoying. But if I take a nice long break, it's got a nice tone to it. I'm just not that into music of the modern period. =/. But it's always impressive to other people when I say that I can play it. ;)

Spring Song - Mendelssohn
This one admittedly needs a lot of work. I have to play all of these songs completely memorized by the end of April, and I still can't even PLAY Spring Song right. That stupid thing, it's got so many little notes that you can mess up. I've never played a piece before with so many stinkin' notes that all have to be perfect! >.<
Difficulty: Pretty stinking difficult.

All the notes that sound like the left hand is just playing blocked chords, yeah, it's not. They're all arpeggiated chords. Ughhh. I'm hoping that I finish up the learning of it.. Because I know that memorizing this little buggar is going to be killer.. >.>
My personal rating: I LOVE this song. I just don't like trying to learn it, because it makes me mad. Hmmph!

Love Song - Barber
Difficulty: Easy as pie.
(No video. No problem though, this song sucks and I'm only playing it because my guild program demands that I have seven pieces.)

And last and certainly least, the Gymnopedie - Satie
Difficulty: Yawn.

My personal rating: I really despise this song. I think it's boring and un-beautiful. But, again, the guild program requires me to have at least seven memorized pieces within expected qualifications, and this song does meet their criteria, so I can suffer through it - though it pains me.
