The most awkward encounters.

1:
When a guy you don't know asks you out virtually and you shoot him down but you think, 'that's awkward. No worries though, I'll never be seeing him again,' and then you see him in person a few days later.
Awwwwwkwaaaaard.


2: 
When someone is trying to communicate with you, but after having them repeat themselves a few times and you still don't understand, so you just say, "Yes." and smile. And then they say, ".... Um.. Did you understand what I said?" And you have to say, "No..."


3: 
When you don't know the definition of a word, so you ask an adult and as soon as the words are out of your mouth, the adult stiffens and looks like they seriously don't want to answer your question. Then you realize it probably means something dirty and you would do anything to take back what you just asked.
Fml.


4:
This one may go under the category of "super freaking annoying," as well. But, when I go out into public during school hours and someone says, "No school today?" and I say, "I'm home-schooled." and they say, "......Oh........."

5:
When you say something jokingly, and the person you are talking to takes offense, because they have had a very personal struggle with whatever you joked about.

6:
If you happen to be holding an infant while walking through a maternity store, and someone walks up to you and says, "Awwww, what a precious baby! How old?" and you say how old they are. And they say, "She looks just like you." and you say, "This is my aunt's child. I'm just holding her." and the person goes, "Oh... I'm... Sorry."

7:
When that person who you don't actually know but who you enjoy to creep on via Facebook does one of those "Check who's viewing your profile!" things, and you're within the top 3.
Oops.

8:
When you add Joe Smith on Facebook who has like 100 mutual friends with you just because you think, "Well, I really don't think I've ever met him... But we have 100 mutual friends so I'm sure I know OF him." And then you run into him at Wal Mart and you recognize who it is, and then you feel like a creep.

9:
When you are being short with someone for never having returned your phone call, and then you come to find out that they had a family emergency or something.

10:
When you trip in a public place.
