Top 100 favorite movies

I'm bored. Therefore, you get a list of my favorite movies. Aside from the first ten, they are not in any particular order. I just know that I love them enough to be on the list. I watch a lot of movies. A lot. And most of my favorites are classics, of which most people reading this have probably not seen. But here is my list of the top 100 films ever made.

1. It's a Wonderful Life
(Year: 1946)
This is my favorite movie of all time. I've seen it a thousand times, and still I cry at the end each and every time. It is very heartening and makes me smile when I watch it.
2. The Lord of the Rings trilogy
(Years: 2001, 2002, 2003)
If ever there was a movie that made me wish I could renounce all my possessions and move to that place, it would be these movies. The Return of the King is my favorite of the three, by far. Second would be The Fellowship, and then Two Towers in third. Each of them are amazingly fantastic movies, but this is the order in which I favor them.
3. Singin' in the Rain
(Year: 1952)
I'm not sure why, but I am obsessed with this movie. Each time I watch it, I *really* want a yellow set of a raincoat, rain hat, and rain boots. It has some of the best songs contained in any musical.
4. Pride and Prejudice
(Year: 1995)
This movie always makes me smile. I adore it. And it is so true to the book, which is fantastic. Also, Colin Firth is hot stuff. I would say that the only drawback is that it's 5 hours long. =/ But it's worth every minute of it ;)
5. The Best Years of Our Lives
(Year: 1946)
Fabulous. Hilarious. Touching. The kind of movie you can watch repeatedly. A conceivable plot.
6. The Sound of Music
(Year: 1965)
Julie Andrews is adorable and perfect for the part of Maria. All of the songs are fabulously catchy (though, my favorite is The Lonely Goatherd). And it is a true story, which I always admire.
7. Sabrina
(Year: 1954)
No, not Sabrina the Teenage Witch. That's the question I am always asked. Sabrina is completely different. Audrey Hepburn is amazing in it (as with every movie she is in <3 ) and it also has Humphrey Bogart and William Holden. Can you go wrong with a cast like that? Um, no. No, you can't. And this movie certainly doesn't.
8. The Shop Around the Corner
(Year: 1940)
Jimmy Stewart = awesome. This is the original film to the 1998 version entitled, "You've Got Mail". I'm sorry, but Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan cannot hold a candle to Jimmy Stewart and Margaret Sullivan. This movie is sooo much better. It angers me when modern directors release a perfectly good classic movie with new, horrible actors. Not that Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan are terrible actors, but they just can't measure up to the original duo.
9. Wuthering Heights
(Year: 1939)
This movie keeps my entire interest all throughout, from early beginning to the very end. It's so sad. And also very true to the book. Laurence Oliver is awesome. He plays the perfect Heathcliff.
10. Pollyanna
(Year: 1960)
Aww, Haley Mills is so cute. This is another one with an ending that never fails to make me cry.
