Ya know, Facebook has to be one of the best inventions.. Ever. I mean, like pretty much everyone uses it. It cracks me up when I'm walking through a store and I hear people talking about something they saw on Facebook. Mark Zurckerburgersmisterfergerner, whatever his last name is, must be a super rich freakin' guy right now. What a genius. Why can't I ever be the one to think of things like that? There are so many simple things that made millionaires. Like freaking Sillee Bands, for example. Those things are so stupid, and now some jerk-wad is living in a bagillion dollar mansion eating five course dinners every night!! But I digress. Facebook is great. I love Facebook. There are things I love about Facebook, and things I hate about Facebook, but even with these things I hate about it, I visit that saaaaame website at least three times a day. Actually, that's really pushing it. More like eight or nine times a day, because I am that hopelessly addicted.
One thing that's kinda suckish about Facebook, is that it's really only fun as long as people interact with each other. There's nothing worse than if you log in, and you have no notifications. I mean, really? That's hurtful, "friends"! No one wanted to drop by my profile and say 'hey,' or send me a message, comment on my status, or comment on one of my recently posted photos?! Screw you guys. However, conversely, it's fabulous when you log on, and you have like ten notifications! I mean wow, that's fulfilling! (Of course, it only takes you about fifteen minutes to look at, and reply to it all, and then you're bored again. But for those fifteen minutes, it's great.)
Something that I said I would never EVER do, is play Facebook games. I always thought that was as lame as lame could be. And umm.. it is. But recently, I've gotten into a few Facebook games! What is wrong with me! Don't get me wrong, I love games. Video games, FTW! But.. internet games? Bleck. /Lame. But, despite my objections, the persona that consumes me when I become bored INSISTS on playing Facebook games! I think I'm pretty okay, though, as long as I don't start posting it to my wall when I get a new high score or something. Then, I'll really have problems.
One of the best things about Facebook (in my opinion,) is when the parents of small children who say funny things, post the things the kids say as their status. Kids crack me up, and I think reading about some of the funny things they say is awesome. I love that. Those are the status' that I always read: the ones about schtuff the kids say.
- Speaking of status' (...what's the plural form of that? Status', status's, statusi? Anyway,) the ones that annoy the crap outta me are the whiny ones. "Life sucks." or "Just kill me now." that kind of thing. Everyone has bad days, sister. You don't have to cry about it on Facebook where some cyber bully (AKA: me) will want to punch you! I also hate the ones that say, "Bleck. Message me." How many times have we ALLLL seen that? Does anyone really send a message them when their status says, "Bleck. Message me"? I wouldn't. That makes them seem grumpy. I don't want to message a grumpy person.
Something that's kind of bittersweet are all the "likes" people are into. I'm not gonna lie, I used to be really into that. But, I always "liked" the funny ones... Not the ones that say "Gf: im so fat and ugly. Bf: what did you say? Gf: im fat and ugly. *bf walks away* *gf goes up to him later and says "what did i do wrong?"* Bf: you lied about the most beautiful thing i see every day." That's the gayest thing I've ever heard! I hate it when those stupid ones pop up on my home-page. Luckily, Facebook made it so that we don't have the torture of reading the full thing anymore. Possibly the best update they've ever done. Occasionally I will still "like" the funny ones though. My favorite recent one was, "I hate it when people text me 'k'. I am very rarely in the mood to talk about potassium." Haha. That is funny. I also hate the ones that say "like if you get it!!!" Of course I get it, you idiot. It was just stupid.
I could go on, and on, and on, and on about the things I like and hate about Facebook, but I think I've pretty much covered the basics. So that's a little bit of what I think about Facebook. How many people reading this agree with me, here?
