Lexyyyy and I :D

Last night, Lexy and I started watching The Big Bang Theory. (LOVE that show) and we watched the episode where they find the Ring of Power in the box of junk. And I said, "This makes me want to watch Lord of the Rings." and she said, "I would be okay with that." I was so excited that I went out and got The Fellowship of the Ring, and we started it :D Hopefully we get to watch all 3 this weekend. She says she's only seen them once, and that was because her boyfriend made her watch them.

So we finished The Fellowship pretty late last night. Lexy kept getting the men's names in the fellowship messed up. I believe she called Gandalf Gandorf, at one point. I laugh at her ignorance of three of the most powerful and awesome movies ever created.

Also, she doesn't think that Legolas is hot as an elf!
Say whaaaaaaaaaat?!
Everyone knows he's a hottie.

Those pointy ears. The long, blonde hair. That.. face. Oh yes.

And not to mention, he's an archer.
I usually go more for the men of archery, rather than those who yield melee weapons.

Oh well. I'm glad that she likes the movies. It almost like, angers me inside when people who don't know what they're talking about, say that Lord of the Rings are stupid, pointless, weird, and a waste of time. (Yes, this has actually been said to me before.)

I'm a LotR freak. Whether that's a good thing or not, I'm unsure. But, the movies are awesome.

However, I tried to read the books one time, and The Fellowship was soooo dense. I couldn't finish it. But, last night I was informed that The Hobbit, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King books are a lot better than The Fellowship, so maybe I will try to pick up reading them again.

Here's another post where I started out talking about one subject, and I ended up talking about something different. I love blogging xD I can just write down my thoughts as they come to me. Hah.

  2. The reason Tolkien's books are so dense, are because he's a huge history buff. I don't mean REAL history, I mean his 'world's' history. Like, he created 4 languages in his spare time, and this vast world. And he feels the need to go into detail and explain everyone's life story.
he's a great author, but his attention to detail is overbearing.
